From 1951-1971, the men, women and children of the Gulf Coast area sat down in Filipp’s Cafe for one of the finest homestyle meals served in this part of Texas, according to many customers. In 1997 the cafe was reopened and continues to the legacy of providing great food, family atmosphere and big smiles to their community.
Before he retired, cafe owner E.J. Filipp applied the philosophy that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.
